One Page, the Full Picture: The New Single-Page Marriage Match Report in Sithars Astrology

Families often ask for "just one page" when matching horoscopes. They want something they can print, read in two minutes, and pass around to relatives. The single-page marriage matching sheet from our Excel tool did exactly that, and many astrologers still use it every day.

That same one-page report is now built into Sithars Astrology, under the name சுருக்கமான பொருத்தம் (Brief Match).

What's on the page

Everything fits on a single A4 sheet:

1. Both horoscopes, side by side in spirit
For the groom and for the bride:

• birth time, date, weekday and place, with latitude and longitude
• nakshatra and pada
• the dasa balance at birth and the running dasa, bhukti and antaram
• the Rasi chart and the Navamsa (Amsam) chart, in the familiar South Indian layout, with markers for retrograde, combust and planetary war

2. The star-matching table: 15 checks in one view

• the classic ten poruthams: Dinam, Ganam, Mahendram, Stree Deergham, Yoni, Rasi, Rasi Adhipathi, Vasiyam, Rajju, Vedhai
• plus Nadi, Panchabhootham, Vruksha, Panchapakshi and Dasa Sandhi

For each one you see the bride's and groom's values and a clear ✓ under உத்தமம் (excellent), மத்திமம் (average) or பொருத்தம் இல்லை (not matching). The totals are at the bottom. The most important poruthams are marked with *, and non-milk trees are marked with • in the Vruksha row.

3. A checklist for the astrologer
Alongside the star matching, the page lists the horoscope-level checks an astrologer weighs next: Lagna, family, comfort, children, the 7th house, mangalya and longevity, dasa, planets and dosha. It's a reminder that star matching is only the starting point.

Why this version is better than the spreadsheet

• Same answers as the detailed report. The one-page report uses exactly the same calculations as our multi-page விரிவான பொருத்தம் (Detailed Match). The two can never disagree.
• Nothing spills over. Long Tamil names and values shrink to fit their boxes, so nothing gets cut off.
• Smarter "ஏக நட்சத்திர" note. The spreadsheet printed "ஏக நட்சத்திர பொருத்தம் உண்டு" on every report. Now it appears only when the bride and groom share the same birth star and that match actually agrees.
• PDF in one click, with no printer driver needed. The report writes its own PDF, named after the couple, and opens it. You can also preview it, print it, or send it by email straight from the app.

How to create it

1. Open the Match screen and enter the bride's and groom's birth details.
2. In the report list, choose சுருக்கமான பொருத்தம்.
3. Pick Preview, PDF or Email.

That's it: one page, ready to hand over.

A word of care

Porutham tables are a guide, not a verdict. A missing porutham can be offset by other factors, and a good score doesn't replace a careful reading of both charts. We recommend using the one-page report to start the conversation, with an experienced astrologer's judgement to finish it.
