Jamakol Arudam is a Tamil prasna method based on the time at which a question is asked. Day and night are each divided into eight jamams, and the positions of the jama planets at that time, together with Udayam, Arudam and Kavippu, are worked out.
Working these out by hand takes time. The software sets up the Jamakol chart at once from the time and place of the question.
