2. Check whether Rahu, the Moon or Mars occupies or aspects the 9th or 12th house.
3. See whether the 9th and 12th lords are joined, exchange signs or aspect each other - a strong link between the two is one of the clearest foreign-travel indicators.
4. Look at the 4th house: a strong 4th favours return; an afflicted 4th linked with the 12th favours settlement abroad.
5. Count how many of the key planets are in movable signs - more movable signs mean more movement.
6. Finally, list the dasas and bhuktis of these planets to see when the promise is likely to be active.
